Security cameras, designed around your space.

A good camera system isn't a box of cameras. It's the right cameras, in the right places, recording reliably, and easy to check from your phone. We plan it around your building and how you use it.

What we do

From the first walk-through to the final test, one person handles the whole job.

Site survey & camera plan

We walk the property, note entrances, blind spots, lighting and cable routes, then give you a layout showing what each camera will see.

Installation & cabling

Clean, labeled cable runs, secure mounting and weatherproofing where needed, so the system is neat and built to last.

Recording & storage

A recorder sized for your cameras and how long you want to keep footage, set up with sensible recording rules.

Remote viewing & alerts

Live view and playback on your phone or computer, with motion alerts tuned so you only hear about what matters.

Expanding or fixing

Already have cameras that are blurry, offline or missing coverage? We can assess what you have and improve it.

Training & handoff

We show you how to find and export footage, and leave you with a simple summary of how your system is set up.

Choosing the right cameras

Different places call for different cameras. Here's how the common types compare.

TypeBest forGood to know
DomeIndoor areas, lobbies, shops, entrywaysDiscreet and harder to tamper with. The tinted dome hides which way it's pointing.
BulletOutdoor walls, parking lots, long viewsVisible, which deters people, and it suits longer distances.
TurretEaves, ceilings, general-purpose coverageLess glare from night-vision lights than domes behind glass or tint.
PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom)Large yards, lots, warehousesOne camera can cover a wide area and zoom in, but it can only look one way at a time.
SpecialtyPlates, doors, low lightNarrow-lens or low-light cameras for one specific job, such as capturing license plates.

What actually matters

A few decisions shape how well a system works. We make these with you, and explain each one.

Where the footage lives

There are three common ways to record. We'll recommend one based on your needs and budget.

On-site

Local recorder (NVR)

Footage is stored on a device at your location. No monthly storage fee, and fast playback, but if the device is stolen or damaged, so is the footage.

Off-site

Cloud storage

Footage is stored online, so it survives theft or fire at your location. It usually costs a monthly fee and depends on your internet upload speed.

Best of both

Hybrid

Record locally and also send key clips or events to the cloud. A good middle ground for businesses with valuable assets.

How much storage you need depends on the number of cameras, resolution, and how long you want to keep footage. Continuous recording at higher resolutions can use tens of gigabytes per camera per day, while recording only on motion uses far less. We size it so you aren't surprised later.

Smart placement

Where a camera goes matters as much as which camera it is.

Privacy and the law. Rules about where cameras can point, recording audio, and posting notices vary by location. We'll help you set things up sensibly, avoiding private spaces such as restrooms and neighbors' property, but we're not lawyers. Check the rules that apply to you, especially if you have employees.

Keeping it secure

A camera system is also a computer network. Poorly set up cameras can become an open door, so we do the basics right.

Common questions

How many cameras do I need?

It depends on the layout, not just the size. A small shop might need three or four to cover the door, register and stockroom, while a larger property needs more. The site walk-through is how we find the right number, and we'd rather tell you honestly than oversell.

Do the cameras need internet?

Not to record. A local recorder keeps working without internet. You only need internet to view footage remotely or use cloud storage.

Wired or wireless?

Wired (PoE) is more reliable and gives better video, so we recommend it wherever cables can reasonably be run. Wireless can make sense for hard-to-reach spots, though it still needs power.

Can I check cameras from my phone?

Yes. We set up live view, playback and motion alerts on your phone, and show you how to use them.

How long is footage kept?

That's up to you. Common choices are 14 to 30 days. We size the storage to match, and you can change it later.

Can you work with cameras I already have?

Often, yes. We'll check whether your existing cameras and recorder are worth keeping, and tell you honestly if replacing them would serve you better.

What if I need a special mount or housing?

That's where custom fabrication comes in. Oddly shaped spots, poles and unusual surfaces are exactly the kind of problem we like to solve.
